We are looking for someone who is passionate about healthcare navigation and wants to educate and inform employers, insurers, and our channel partners that there is a different way to group benefits to employees. We have led the industry in advocating for solutions that help support individuals on their health journey.
The Vice-President, Sales (Revenue & Growth) is responsible for developing the plan to educate and inform advisors and clients on how to implement a multi-service solution that puts the user first. Our Business Development team are not only advocates for change in the industry but responsible for developing long term relationships.
Position Summary
The Vice-President, Sales (Revenue & Growth) is a key leader responsible for strategy and execution using data-informed decision making. This role is responsible for developing and executing revenue generation and growth strategies to drive the financial performance of the company within the group benefits healthcare sector. Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will oversee key sales, business development and marketing functions, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives. This role will be responsible for building the culture and leading a high-performance team. Vertical channel expansion and lead generation will be critical to this role.
Organizational Relationships
Reporting to the CEO, the Vice-President, Sales (Revenue & Growth) will get the chance to interact cross-functionally with teams across the business, but more specifically the commercial and marketing teams. They will also get the chance to be a sales leader and continue to lead our sales teams to success.
As Vice-President, Sales (Revenue & Growth) you will:
- Drive increased market understanding of our capabilities and how they empower healthier living
- Create internal pride and stewardship of our differentiating products/solutions and offerings
- Effectively navigate and influence in a matrixed leadership environment
- Lead, motivate and inspire the growth team foresting an environment of collaboration and team work
- Report on pipeline performance including identification of trends and opportunities.
- Revenue Generation: Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth across all CloudMD revenue streams, including product sales, service offerings, and partnerships.
- Marketing: Lead marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility, generate leads, and support sales efforts.
- Growth: Identify and capitalize on opportunities for business expansion, including new markets, product lines, and strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with executive team to define sales goals and objectives aligned with overall company strategy.
- Develop comprehensive sales strategies for each market segment and product/service offering.
- Be an advocate for the opportunity to change how group benefit in health are provided by employers. This role will present at conferences, webcasts and podcasts as examples to disseminate the message.
2. Sales Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the sales department, including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and territory assignments.
- Implement effective sales processes and systems to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide leadership and guidance to sales team members, including training, coaching, and performance management.
3. Revenue Optimization: Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for revenue growth.
- Develop pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to maximize revenue while maintaining competitive positioning.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track revenue performance and identify areas for improvement.
4. Marketing Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement integrated marketing plans to support sales objectives, including digital marketing, advertising, PR, and events.
- Work closely with marketing team to create compelling messaging and collateral materials tailored to target audiences.
- Utilize data analytics and market research to refine marketing strategies and optimize ROI.
5. Business Development and Partnerships: Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, including partnerships, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
- Negotiate and finalize agreements with strategic partners to drive growth and expand market reach.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and industry influencers.
6. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards governing sales and marketing activities.
- Stay abreast of changes in healthcare regulations and industry best practices to mitigate risk and maintain compliance.
What you have invested in yourself for this role:
- University Degree
- 10 years of Proven track record of leadership success in revenue generation, sales management, and business development within the healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare market, group benefits market, including regulatory environment, payer dynamics, and customer needs.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, drive organizational change, and achieve measurable business results.
- Proven communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, analytical capabilities, and a passion for driving growth and innovation.
What you need to be successful:
- Willingness to travel as required by the role and extensive in-market sales support and coaching.
- A track record of ethical leadership and professional integrity.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken (asset)
