Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our dynamic sales team. This role is crucial for generating new business opportunities, nurturing leads, and supporting multiple campaigns across our diverse client verticals. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels in communication, and has a passion for driving growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation:
- Use exceptional interpersonal skills to generate demand through targeted communication (email, social networks, and phone outreach).
- Meet and exceed lead generation targets.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify potential prospects across restaurants, hotels, c-stores, retail, sports, and marketplace platforms.
- Lead Nurturing:
- Cultivate new relationships with leads to qualify them for the Business Development team.
- Nurture marketing-generated leads to convert them into opportunities.
- Utilize our CRM and sales automation platform to personalize outreach and track all pertinent information.
- Campaign Management:
- Manage multiple campaigns simultaneously across various client segments.
- Promote Smooth Commerce’s products, including digital customer programs for ordering (pickup and delivery), loyalty, and engagement.
- Collaborate regularly with Marketing, Technology, and Business Development teams.
- Collaboration:
- Host presentations and product demonstrations expertly.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of campaigns.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced: 1+ year of B2B outbound prospecting experience, with familiarity in the retail and CPG space preferred.
- Communicative: Outstanding executive presence; comfortable communicating with CMOs, CIOs, and CTOs via email and phone. Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English.
- Independent: Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Research Savvy: Strong research skills and a deep understanding of digital engagement and commerce platforms.
- Adaptable: Skilled at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.
- Proactive: Solution-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient with Office 365, Google Workspace, HubSpot, DocuSign, and other relevant tools; experience with revenue technologies such as Better Proposals is a plus.
- Educated: Degree or diploma in business, marketing, or related field of study, or equivalent combination of work experience and/or education.
