Software Engineer (intern) - Java

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Software Engineering Intern to join our product development team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Java and AWS technologies, contribute to real projects, and develop both back-end and front-end skills with guidance from experienced engineers.

In this role you will…

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining Java and AWS-based applications and services.

• Support troubleshooting and resolution of software defects under the mentorship of senior engineers.

• Contribute to basic user interface development with React.js or similar tools as required.

• Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver on team goals.

• Participate actively in team meetings, sprint planning sessions, and technical discussions.

• Build comprehensive knowledge of system architecture, company products, and platforms.

• Learn about APIs, cloud technologies, and best software engineering practices through hands-on involvement.

• Embrace feedback and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.

You’ve got what it takes if you have / are…

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Basic proficiency in Java programming and an understanding of object-oriented concepts.

• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

• Familiarity with relational databases and basic SQL queries.

• Exposure to GIT or similar version control systems.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated eagerness to learn, grow, and work collaboratively.

Bonus points if you have…

• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and DevOps concepts.

• Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and frameworks like React.js.

• Interest in API-based services and modern cloud technologies.

• A passion for technology and continuous improvement.
