What it means to be Director of Marketing
We get it, you want to know what you’re signing up for before you apply, right? This is what you need to know. As a Director of Marketing at Paved, you’ll be responsible for:
Leading Brand & Content Strategy
Defining and evolving Paved’s brand voice, positioning, and visual identity
Overseeing the production of high-impact content (case studies, thought leadership, videos, social, etc.)
Building storytelling frameworks that resonate with advertisers, agencies, and publishers
Owning and executing a full-funnel marketing strategy focused on demand generation, performance marketing, content, and brand
Developing Go-to-Market & Demand Generation Strategies
Owning and optimizing multi-channel marketing strategies (paid, earned, owned)
Managing and optimizing paid media budgets to maximize ROI, CAC efficiency, and pipeline contribution
Partnering with sales to create pitch decks, collateral, and ABM campaigns
Driving lead generation and pipeline acceleration through targeted campaigns
Scaling Marketing Operations
Managing and mentoring a growing marketing team and agency partners
Owning marketing KPIs including CAC, MQLs, SQLs, brand awareness, and campaign ROI
Implementing tools and systems to support campaign tracking, reporting, and automation
Collaborating Cross-Functionally
Working with product to craft messaging that aligns with features and value proposition
Aligning with revenue teams to ensure marketing and sales goals are tightly connected
Staying current on industry trends to ensure Paved remains ahead of the competition
After 1 week
Met the full Paved marketing, sales, and product teams.
Got up to speed on our current brand positioning, active campaigns, and main marketing channels.
Audited key assets (website, collateral, social channels, campaign dashboards).
After 1 month
Delivered a comprehensive marketing audit and presented actionable recommendations to the leadership team.
Established weekly syncs with sales and product to align on messaging, pipeline priorities, and campaign timing.
Developed a refreshed marketing plan for the next quarter, with clear KPIs tied to demand generation and brand goals.
Identified quick-win opportunities for lead generation, pipeline acceleration, or brand uplift.
After 6 months
Successfully launched a major new demand generation campaign with measurable impact on pipeline metrics.
Demonstrated improvement in core KPIs (e.g., inbound leads, MQLs, CAC efficiency).
Built strong cross-functional partnerships across sales, product, and customer success, driving unified go-to-market execution.
Delivered a steady pipeline of high-impact content, PR wins, and market thought leadership, increasing Paved’s share of voice in the industry.
What we would like to see in you
Every Redbricker has three things in common: We’re curious, passionate, and good-humoured. We try our best to balance hard work with good, old-fashioned fun. As a Director of Marketing at Paved, there are extra specialties we’re on the lookout for:
10+ years of marketing experience in tech, with 5+ years in a leadership role
Proven success scaling B2B marketing at a high-growth SaaS or adtech company
Deep experience in brand strategy, content creation, performance marketing and paid media
Strong background in developing pitch decks, GTM campaigns, and storytelling frameworks
Highly analytical and comfortable with marketing attribution, experimentation, and forecasting (GA, Looker, Mixpanel, or similar)
Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and decision-making skills
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels
