What it means to be Marketing Coordinator.
We get it, you want to know what you’re signing up for before you apply, right? This is what you need to know. As a Marketing Coordinator on the Redbrick Shared Services team, you’ll be responsible for:
- Managing social media for Redbrick and its special projects:
- Contribute to the planning of Redbrick’s social media strategy.
- Build and maintain Redbrick’s social media calendar(s).
- Create and schedule content according to the social media calendar.
- Create and edit content in Canva.
- Identify + execute on audience growth opportunities.
- Work closely with People & Culture to define and execute recruitment-specific social media strategies.
- Ensure company event coverage (live and post event).
- Be a social media liaison across the Redbrick organization.
- Supporting Redbrick content strategy development and execution.
- Performing key public relations initiatives such as applying for awards, pitching media contacts, and facilitating partnerships.
- Assisting with:
- Email marketing campaigns on a corporate or portfolio level.
- Video and photography needed on the corporate or portfolio level.
- New branding initiatives (content, design, strategy).
- Performing competitive research and analysis to support the marketing objectives across Redbrick corporate and all portfolio companies.
- Supporting the People & Culture team with:
- Recruitment initiatives including but not limited to hiring fairs, hackathons, etc.
- Employee branding initiatives, both internal and external.
- Supporting the marketing needs of the Redbrick portfolio brands as needed.
Key milestones:
After 1 week:
- You will be onboarded within the marketing and shared services team to get a sense of how you will fit within the company
- You will be introduced to our portfolio of brands
After 1 month:
- You will be familiar with our various brands and major marketing initiatives
- You will understand our marketing strategy and calendar and begin to make an impact in both strategy and decision making
- You will have met with all of our portfolio companies to understand their marketing goals
After 6 months:
- You will feel confident in your role and will be creating change across the organization
- You have built a strong rapport with your team, the larger shared services team, and the portfolio brand owners
- You are leading marketing initiatives from ideation to completion, understanding both short and long-term goals
What we would like to see in you
Every Redbricker has three things in common: We’re curious, passionate, and good-humoured. We try our best to balance hard work with good, old-fashioned fun. As a Marketing Coordinator at Redbrick, there are extra specialties we’re on the lookout for:
- Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; or equivalent related professional experience.
- 1-3 years experience in a marketing environment and a bonus if in a SaaS company.
- 1-3 years experience managing social media accounts in a professional environment and a bonus if in a SaaS company.
- Exceptional written communication skills — you have an excellent grasp of the mechanics of the English language.
- You are adaptable, eager to learn, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- You are a self-starter; eager to dive into projects but also comfortable asking for help along the way.
- Strong digital literacy (PC or Mac environment) with experience in Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.).
- Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and social media management platforms.
- Experience with Canva or similar.
