We are in search of...

A skilled Fiber Optic Cable Splicer to join our team. This is Full-time Temporary role for three (3) months or longer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for splicing and installing fiber optic cables as well as assemble the components to prepare the final product.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

• Perform fiber optic cable splicing, termination and testing on single fiber
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and specifications
• Use single fusion splicing and mechanical splicing techniques
• maintain accurate records of splicing and testing results
• Soldering on various printed circuit boards as needed
• Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic cables as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols
• Collaborate with production and project teams to meet deadlines

What you bring...

• Proven experience as a fiber optic cable splicer
• Knowledge of fiber optic testing equipment and fusion splicing machine
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Able to use a soldering iron, crimpers, hand tools, meters and some test equipment
• Able to use a computer
