Editor-in-Chief
Scribendi is seeking an Editor-in-Chief to manage our in-house editorial department. Your mission is to ensure we fulfill our core promise of delivering top-tier quality editorial services to our clients and to act as the expert for all things editorial. You will manage our in-house editorial team, who work on a wide range of documents, including academic papers, business documents, creative pieces, scientific articles, and, really, a little bit of everything in between! Who you are:(Required)
- A university degree, ideally in English, journalism, communications, or a related field
- Meaningful experience in editorial departments, with evidence of strong work
- Strong knowledge of editorial processes and best practices

- Demonstrated ability to lead people through effective communication
- Enthusiastic about editing and able to take the initiative to continuously improve the department

- Coach, train, and evaluate in-house editors

- Ensure the scalability and efficiency of all editorial systems via automation and the implementation of new technology, including AI

In-House Editor/Proofreader
Scribendi, the leading online language services company, is seeking an experienced In-house Editor/Proofreader to join our team. At Scribendi, you will join a small group of forward-thinking, friendly, team-oriented individuals working in a fast-paced, positive environment.
In this role, you will spend your days working on a broad range of documents, including technical, scientific, and medical materials, especially those written by ESL speakers. You'll have a hand in managing the day-to-day editorial responsibilities, using your skills and expertise to monitor workflow and to provide support to remote staff. Senior Full Stack Web Developer

Freelance Positions
Freelance Editor/Proofreader
As one of our talented freelance editors, you'll have the ability to work from home while choosing the types of assignments that interest you and editing completely on your own schedule. Our transparent, per-order pricing makes it clear how much a job is worth before you accept it. You can interact with both in-house staff and other freelancers through our online forums, and you'll also receive incentives that can be redeemed at online retailers. You won't have any of the hassles of bidding or pitching to clients, and you will be paid promptly.
Working with Scribendi requires a moderate level of computer and Internet knowledge. You need to be comfortable downloading and uploading files, saving and finding files on your computer, transferring files, renaming files, and using a website interface. You should have a good working knowledge of the major document file formats and their associated software programs. Some ability to troubleshoot technical problems is also helpful.
