We are looking to hire a Senior BI Engineer to join our growing team. This role transforms Schema App’s data into clear, actionable stories that guide strategy, enhance customer outcomes, and drive adoption. The successful candidate will lead the end-to-end process from data engineering to insight delivery, combining technical depth, visual design, and storytelling to elevate how the company understands and uses data.
Functional Accountabilities
- Translate Business Needs into Data Narratives - Convert stakeholder questions into measurable data problems and deliver dashboards and insights that inform product, customer, and strategic decisions.
- Engineer Reliable and Scalable Data Systems - Design and maintain performant pipelines using Apache Flink, Spark, and AWS Glue to ensure trusted, accessible, and real-time data across the organization.
- Design Story-Driven Dashboards and Visual Experiences - Build executive-ready dashboards in Amazon QuickSight that blend narrative clarity with visual impact, highlighting ROI, product adoption, and customer value.
- Drive Adoption and Data Literacy - Enable teams through storytelling frameworks, dashboard walkthroughs, and education to increase data-driven decision-making and engagement.
- Integrate Semantic Data for Strategic Insights - Leverage Schema App’s RDF and schema.org foundations to connect structured and semantic data for richer, contextualized business intelligence.
- Foster a Data-Centric Culture - Mentor peers, champion continuous improvement, and promote a culture where insights are measurable, repeatable, and embedded in daily operations.

- Cycle Time: Measures the average time between a data request and the delivery of an actionable insight, reflecting operational agility and efficiency.
- CSM Adoption: Evaluates how actively Customer Success Managers use BI dashboards and data stories during quarterly business reviews to demonstrate data-driven impact.
- Data Trust Index: Assesses the overall confidence and reliability of BI data, incorporating data accuracy, system stability, and user trust.
- Dashboard Quality Feedback: Captures stakeholder feedback on dashboard clarity, usefulness, and design to ensure continual improvement in storytelling and visualization quality.
