RVezy is an innovative travel experience company that brings aspiring vacationers and RV owners together. Founded in 2016, we provide a platform for RV rentals available across most of Canada and the United States.

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our mobile applications on the Android and iOS platforms. You will work closely with our design and development teams to deliver visually appealing, efficient, and user-friendly applications that meet business requirements and exceed user expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and development teams to implement visually appealing, efficient, and user-friendly mobile applications
• Develop and maintain high-quality Android and iOS applications that meet industry standards
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in mobile development
• Lead efforts to improve application performance and set new standards for our development team
• Work with other developers to improve development techniques and best practices
• Identify and troubleshoot complex mobile development issues and provide innovative solutions
• Ensure cross-platform compatibility and adherence to accessibility standards
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with other developers to ensure code quality and consistency
• Create and maintain automated end-to-end and unit tests for our mobile applications

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mobile development
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Swift
• Experience with mobile performance optimization techniques, such as lazy loading, memory management, and network optimization
• Experience with Android development frameworks and libraries such as RxJava, Dagger, Retrofit, and others
• Knowledge of Android platform-specific APIs, such as notifications, location, and camera
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Passionate about staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in mobile development and performance optimization
• Experience with automated end-to-end and unit testing for Android applications

Bonus points

• Familiarity with testing frameworks
• Experience with Jetpack Compose

Location

The role will require you to work from our office in Centretown 2-3 days per week.
