As a Shift Supervisor, SMT you will work closely with the Production Manager to help schedule production according to Production Planning reporting tools and shortage reports. Interface with all departments on the shop floor (Kitting, Assembly, Test and Systems, Repair and Troubleshoot) to ensure production schedule is met and work orders are completed on time. Act as the primary support during the afternoon shift for any production issues.

What the job is all about:
- Support shop floor equipment and software including screen printers, pick and place, reflow ovens and AOI to reduce downtime
- Investigate problems to find root cause
- Work with Production Scheduler to program jobs/assemblies for pick and place output
- Support NPI runs which includes, but is not limited to, creating oven profiles, teaching new parts, creating AOI programs and creating screen printer programs
- Ensure that all work performed conforms to approved procedures
- Ensure that all products meet quality standards
- Work collaboratively with the Manufacturing Support Team and lead hands to implement new processes and procedures
- Assist in training and cross training when necessary
- Enforce safety standards, PPE use, Code of Ethics, and all company policies & procedures
- Participate in new hire process
- Work closely with manager to help create team goals
- Request services of maintenance when required
- Review and approves timecards
Who you are:
- High School diploma
- Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Supervisory experience is an asset
- Working knowledge of computers and software programs such as MS Word/Excel/Outlook
- Mechanical aptitude
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Solid aptitude for learning
- Working knowledge of computers and software programs such as MS Word/Excel/Outlook
- Available for shift work and overtime in a manufacturing environment
Bonus points if you have the following:
- Capable of following procedures and work logically
- Well-organized, very detail oriented, and able to work on multiple projects
- College diploma and/or additional education and computer courses are strong assets
- Previous experience in a Supervisory capacity in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience with machine operation
