Job Overview:

The Director of Sales Operations is a senior leader within Ross Video’s Global Sales Team, reporting to the Vice President of Global Sales Operations. Accountable for optimizing global sales processes and technology platforms, the Director provides technical and functional leadership with operational oversight across a multi-geo/global scope. They ensure alignment with departmental strategy while occasionally contributing to divisional plans. This role drives program and process implementation, leads continuous improvement, and acts as an organizational representative in negotiations and agreements, while fostering cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing. Success requires deep systems expertise in Ross’s tech stack, political savviness and credibility across the business, a strategic mindset with operational depth to operate in ambiguity, and strong team advocacy and culture building skills. Operating with independence and sound judgment, the Director makes both tactical and strategic decisions, mentors and manages teams, and handles confidential communications. Ideal profiles include leaders from Sales/Revenue Operations, Commercial/Business Operations with CRM ownership, or Sales/GTM transformation consulting, with proven experience in forecasting, pipeline management, process design, and change leadership in complex global environments.

What the job is all about:

Strategic Leadership & Alignment

  • Define and execute the commercial operations strategy in alignment with global sales objectives and organizational priorities.
  • Contribute to planning for sales operations, ensuring scalability and efficiency across global markets, as needed.

Sales Process & Technology Optimization

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of sales processes, tools, and workflows.
  • Lead platform management, including Salesforce & Revenue Cloud development, CPQ/quoting tools, and AI-driven solutions to enhance sales productivity.

Commercial Governance

  • Manage global product and pricing governance, licensing frameworks, and asset control to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Drive data operations and analytics to support forecasting, pipeline management, and strategic decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence

  • Represent the sales organization in cross-functional committees and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with Ross Video’s Superior Customer Experience and internal efficiency goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing insights and recommendations on commercial operations and revenue enablement.

Enablement & Training

  • Oversee global sales training programs and channel partner enablement initiatives to support revenue growth and operational excellence.
  • Ensure teams are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and resources required to succeed.

Leadership & People Development

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to managers and team leads within the commercial operations team.
  • Lead performance management, career development, recruitment, and succession planning for the department.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture aligned with Ross Video’s values and Code of Ethics.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Champion change management initiatives and drive adoption of new technologies and methodologies across the global sales organization.

Operational Oversight & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to commercial operations.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and KPIs to deliver operational excellence and measurable business impact.

Who you are:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline; MBA or equivalent experience is considered an asset.
  • Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (ICBB) strongly preferred.
  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Commercial Operations within a mid-to-large technology or B2B organization.
  • Proven track record of leading global or multi-geo operations, including CRM ownership and sales process optimization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Salesforce administration and development, CPQ/quoting tools, and leveraging AI-driven solutions for sales efficiency.
  • Experience managing product and pricing governance, licensing frameworks, and commercial compliance.
  • Strong background in data operations and analytics, including forecasting, pipeline management, and KPI reporting.
  • Prior experience in sales enablement, training programs, and channel partner support.
  • Consulting or transformation experience in Sales, GTM, or CRM-focused projects is considered an asset, provided the candidate demonstrates ability to execute, not just advise.
  • Proven ability to advocate for back-of-house operations teams, elevating their strategic importance and securing representation in executive-level decision-making forums.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor managers and team leads, driving team performance and career development.
  • Skilled in change management, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, and building trusted relationships at all organizational levels—including executive leadership.
  • Experience managing budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic planning for operational functions
  • Advanced proficiency in Salesforce.com, CPQ tools, and related sales technology platforms.
  • Expert working knowledge of MS Office Suite and familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools.
  • Comfort with emerging technologies and ability to integrate AI and automation into sales processes.
  • Strategic thinker with operational depth; able to navigate ambiguity and deliver results.
  • Politically savvy and credible across the business, with strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative, high-performance culture aligned with organizational values.
