We’re looking for a detail-oriented and organized Manufacturing Inventory Processor to support our production operations by preparing, kitting, and delivering accurate component kits to the manufacturing floor. In this hands-on role, you will gather parts from the stockroom, prepare components according to Manufacturing Work Instructions, and ensure all materials are correctly labeled, packaged, and routed through our systems.
You’ll work closely with the Manufacturing and Inventory teams to maintain inventory accuracy, manage shortages, and support a smooth and efficient production flow. Key Responsibilities
Kitting & Work Order Preparation
- Pull parts using pick lists and kit materials according to Manufacturing Work Instructions.
- Prepare components for WIP by counting, labeling, and organizing into appropriate bins.
- Print barcodes, labels, and manuals for work orders.
- Transfer components to correct containers, including moisture-sensitive materials requiring proper resealing.
- Deliver completed kits and work orders to designated manufacturing areas.
System Use & Documentation
- Use MAX to view inventory, check shortages, and access kit lists.
- Follow all MES documentation, routing practices, and workflow steps accurately.
Inventory Control & Cycle Counts
- Maintain Dry Pak cabinets, Kanban carts, and component recycling centers.
- Refill stock boxes and verify basic component values.
- Conduct cycle counts and support inventory accuracy activities.
- Fulfill allocations when shortages occur and process them through MES once resolved.
General Manufacturing Support
- Complete internal part requests from the Ottawa Lab and sales orders for RM stock IDs.
- Read work orders, follow production drawings, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions.
- Adhere to all ESD, safety, and material-handling requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- 1+ year experience in manufacturing, warehousing, stockroom, or inventory control
- Comfort using ERP/MES systems (training provided)
- Ability to read part numbers, labels, and basic electronic component values
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to follow written instructions, technical drawings, and verbal direction
- Basic computer literacy (Windows, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Commitment to safe work practices, including proper ESD handling
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Experience with electronic components or technical manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with moisture-sensitive device (MSD) handling
- Knowledge of Kanban, cycle counting, or lean manufacturing practices
- Strong problem-solving skills for resolving shortages or discrepancies
- Mechanical aptitude and solid math skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
