The IT Lab Technician II plays a key role in supporting Ross Video’s internal Lab Infrastructure and lab environments. This role focuses on executing defined technical tasks, maintaining lab systems, and ensuring smooth operation of hardware and software used in testing and development. The technician works independently on routine assignments and collaborates with peers and supervisors to resolve moderately complex issues. This role contributes to operational efficiency and supports broader IT initiatives through hands-on technical support and maintenance.

What the job is all about:

Maintain and troubleshoot lab hardware and software systems to ensure consistent availability and performance for testing and development activities.

Execute routine setup, configuration, and deployment of lab equipment in accordance with IT standards and safety protocols.

Support software installations, updates, and patching cycles across lab environments, ensuring compliance with internal policies.

Monitor system health and performance metrics, escalating issues to senior team members when necessary.

Assist in documenting lab configurations, procedures, and inventory to support audit-readiness and operational transparency.

Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to support product testing, validation, and debugging workflows.

Participate in the onboarding and setup of new lab tools and technologies, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

Provide basic technical support to internal users accessing lab systems, resolving issues within defined guidelines.

Contribute to process optimization by identifying inefficiencies and proposing practical solutions.

Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards in all lab-related activities.
Who you are:

High school diploma with 3–4 years of relevant experience, or formal professional education with 0–1 years of experience in IT or technical support.

Foundational knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking principles.

Experience with lab equipment setup, system imaging, and basic troubleshooting techniques.

Ability to follow established procedures and escalate non-routine issues appropriately.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, especially in documentation and inventory tracking.

Effective communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.

Familiarity with IT service desk tools and ticketing systems is an asset.

Demonstrated ability to work independently on defined tasks and contribute to team goals.
