Job overview:

As the Senior Project Manager – Spidercam, you will be the champion for the spidercam product line mainly focused on India, but also looking after surrounding regions (mainly SAARC region). You are responsible for the planning and execution of all cable camera rental projects in the region with the goal of meeting budgeted pricing and delivering a successful outcome for the customer. In addition you take care of internal and external technical project management, preparing and ensuring the right equipment and crew are ready on-time, delivering value to our customers while maintaining the highest quality standard for the product.

What the job is all about:

Business Development & Pre-sales:

  • Assess regional market dynamic and reports back to rental and management team.
  • Assists with business development efforts in the region.
  • Is main contact for rental inquiries
  • Prepares quotes for upcoming productions and maintains visibility in SalesForce.
  • Negotiates conditions with clients and contractors
  • Double-checks quotes (4 eye principle) with managing director

Operations

  • Plans site surveys
  • Schedules crew
  • Liaise and contract crew
  • Prepares call sheets / itineraries
  • Keeps track of production arrangements
  • Technician or Coordinator on Job
  • Cross-departmental work according to competence and requirements
  • Suggests improvements to existing processes with the goal of improving operational efficiency

Administration

  • Tracks booking of freelance crew
  • Liaises with other spidercam groups for international productions
  • Checks invoices and allocates them to productions
  • Support marketing activities (conventions, website, social media, print,…)
  • Coordinate with public bodies (safety regulations)

Project Management and Local Logistics

  • Creation of specifications and functional specifications
  • Project coordination with/in the team
  • Merchandise management (ordering, etc.)
  • Inventory
  • Gets quotes for shipping / transport of systems
  • Organizes transport
  • Books flights
  • Technical Project Management

Rope testing and further development

  • Communication and coordination with manufacturers
  • Definition of test setups and scenarios
  • Execution of the tests

Leadership and Communication:

  • Communicates with clients, partners, freelancers and internal departments such as engineering and operations.
  • Helps on-board new team members as Spidercam’s regional operations continue to grow.
  • Liaise with other Ross India team members to coordinate targeted activities (sales, marketing, support).
  • Suggests product improvements as the “voice of the customer” in the region.

Who you are:

  • Proven track record in project management, preferably in sports/live events or cable cameras.
  • Strong technical knowledge of cable camera systems
  • Ability to read mechanical / electrical drawings in the context of on-site Spidercam operations
  • Excellent communication skills including fluency in English, negotiation and presentation skills with an ability to engage at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • A critical and lateral thinker who excels in problem-solving and thrives in ambiguity.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and team-oriented with a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and make quick decisions without formal guidance
