Ross Video
Job overview:
We’re seeking a marketing automation specialist to advance lead development and qualification through smart automation and strategic, well-timed communications across the buyer journey. This role spans all communication programs - from demand generation campaigns to product launches and event communications - with a focus on delivering the right message to the right audience at the right time. The ideal candidate pairs marketing automation expertise with strong segmentation, scoring, and data management skills to help convert prospects into qualified opportunities.
Who you report to: Team Lead, Marketing – Automation
What we offer:
Ross offers competitive salaries, comprehensive health plans, and several perks to help you perform at your best. Some of these perks include flexible hours, generous paid time off, fitness/wellness allowance, an employee share ownership program, development support, and a ton of fun social activities and events! Best of all, you will be part of the Ross Video family, and we've got an energizing environment here.
What the job is all about:
- Lead and execute communication programs across the funnel (e.g. demand gen nurtures, campaign sends, product launches, pre-/post-event messaging), and design qualification pathways that help filter and advance prospects toward meaningful sales engagement.
- Use data and testing (A/B tests/multivariate) to improve how people move through those journeys.
- Decide who goes into which campaign flow. Handle segmentation, lead scoring/grading, and logic for membership.
- Keep data clean and accurate: manage lists, suppressions, deduplication, and ensure targeting is precise.
- Partner with internal teams (marketing, sales, product) and external agencies or vendors as needed to synchronize messaging, timing, goals, and execution.
- Be the final reviewer: check all automation logic, email content and copy, and workflows before they go live. You are the final reviewer before our messaging reaches the market.
- Stay up to date on marketing automation, lifecycle marketing, and demand generation trends; suggest new ideas, strategies, and channels to most effectively speak to our audience.
- Ensure compliance with privacy, consent, and legal best practices around automated communications.
Who you are:
- 3+ years of experience in marketing automation or lifecycle marketing (Pardot/MCAE experience strongly preferred).
- Proven ability to design nurture strategies, run tests, and improve performance using data.
- Strong skills in segmentation, scoring, and campaign logic.
- Comfortable shaping and adapting email content within automation programs.
- Applying templates, structuring messages, and tailoring content for different audiences with a focus on effectiveness and engagement.
- Collaborative and trusted partner with strong communication skills; able to build credibility across marketing, sales, product, and external partners.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and thorough with a strong quality-control mindset.
Bonus points if you have the following:
- Understanding of privacy regulations and digital marketing best practices.
- Experience with AI tools for content optimization, subject line testing, send-time optimization, or personalization at scale.
- Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Salesforce Reports & Dashboards, Google Looker Studio) for campaign performance insights and visualization.
- Exposure to account-based marketing (ABM) strategies, including building programs that target accounts as well as individuals, and aligning closely with sales.
- Strong presentation skills — able to present in front of large groups, simplify complex data, and adapt messaging for different audiences (technical vs. executive).
- Experience tailoring campaigns for global or regional audiences, including adapting for language, geography, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CASL).
