As the Manager, you will take on a dual role, balancing technical leadership with team management. What the job is all about:

  • Lead and manage a team of developers, ensuring alignment with project goals and deadlines.
  • Work with the Development Team on product roadmap, development priorities, customer issues, and new products.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development, Technical Product Manager, Software Architect, and Developers to ensure technical excellence in the architecture and design of motion graphics applications.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and contribute to the product’s functionality, design, philosophy, marketability and usability.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Work closely with the Product Verification, and Documentation teams to test, and document new features.
  • Work with the Technical Support team to triage and manage customer escalations.
  • Act as a liaison with other Ross Video product lines and partners to co-develop end to end solutions for our customers.
  • Mentor and support team members in their professional growth and development.
  • Take ownership of team deliverables, ensuring high-quality, robust, and maintainable solutions.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the development process, driving efficiency and scalability.
  • Actively participate in the hiring process, identifying and onboarding top technical talent.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage all performance discussions to develop employees and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Advocate for and implement best practices in process and methodologies.

Who you are:

  • Strong technical background with developing real-time graphic applications and systems.
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor developers, fostering a high-performing and motivated team.
  • Solid understanding of real-time video processing and related technologies.
  • Solid understanding of secure software development life cycles.
  • Knowledge of graphic design and graphics production workflows.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages. (e.g. C/C++, Delphi, C#, Python, ...)
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture principles, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency with AWS (Amazon Web Services) technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make technical and managerial decisions effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with live video production environments.
  • Knowledge of SQL database, video codecs, streaming protocols, network protocols, and low-latency systems.
  • Previous experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized and detail orientated.
  • Self-starter and quick learner with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Able to work co-operatively with and across all company departments.
  • Valid passport and driver’s license.
  • Some travel might be required.
