The Business Development Manager (BDM) for Legislative will focus on building Ross Video's market position within the Legislative sector. This role involves defining long-term strategic goals, building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, and working closely with the sales and marketing teams to achieve revenue growth and market share. The BDM will ensure the early delivery of a superior customer experience and work to expand Ross Video's presence in the legislative market.

What the job is all about:
- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies for Ross Video’s legislative solutions in North America, working with the stakeholders mentioned above.
- Provide sales support to Regional Sales Managers and customer service to legislative clients.
- Perform market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and expected discount rates.
- Build relationships with prospects and customers by promoting Ross Video’s legislative solutions directly at customer facilities and indirectly via our business partners.
- Leverage existing relationships with clients and resellers to promote Ross Video’s legislative solutions.
- Deliver sales presentations to clients and re-sellers in the legislative sector.
- Facilitate product demonstrations at customer sites and via webinars.
- Assist end users, re-sellers, and system integrators concerning the sales and purchase of Ross Video products.
- Participate in product shows, partner events, and trade association meetings.
- Work with Sales and Marketing to develop and maintain comprehensive legislative programs beneficial for channel partners and government institutions.
- Report legislative market feedback to the VP of Sales, North America, Directors of Sales, Product Managers, and Marketing Teams.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of sales forecasting
- Achieve vertical market revenue goals among other KPIs.
- Prepare periodic reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Monitor and evaluate competitive solutions for legislative applications.
- Ensure that all efforts follow the Ross Video Code of Ethics.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Who you are:
- Experience selling and marketing production tools to legislative entities.
- Familiarity with production workflows used in legislative applications.
- Knowledge of legislative buying procedures.
- Understanding of Ross Video products.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar Customer Relationship Management software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude, determined, with a high tolerance for ambiguity.
- Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
- Valid passport and driver's license.
