The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a rapidly growing and expanding video control system adaptable for use in workflows ranging from traditional broadcast studios to highly scalable IP based facilities, and the growing field of streaming and cloud-based productions.

What the job is all about:

  • Application software application work in Embedded/Desktop/Server Linux, container, or similar environment.
  • Developing new and extending or supporting features within the existing application framework.
  • Developing interfaces that facilitate communication within and between application modules or other equipment.
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, and improvement of application code and interactions with other system modules
  • Estimate development tasks and project effort levels.
  • Participation in team code design and code reviews.

Who you are:

  • Minimum 3 years SW & Embedded work, desktop and container-based Linux development experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree, certificate or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science or related fields.
  • Programming experience in the following languages C, C++
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methods (e.g. Scrum), issue tracking (e.g. Jira) and version control systems (e.g git)
  • Other experience, desirable skills or areas of interest, considered a strong plus:
    • Familiarity with database systems and related programming interfaces (e.g. SQL, Redis etc.)
    • Familiarity with other programming languages such as Go, Java or Python
    • Familiarity HTML and JavaScript based Web Page development.
    • Unix/Linux command line tools, scripts and scripting languages (e.g. Bash)
    • Experience working in Docker (or similar) and container-based environments.
    • Familiarity with Linux system configuration and upgrades (e.g. apt or similar package management systems)
    • Linux startup environment integration (e.g. systemd and similar) for hardware and container-based environments
    • Live production or Broadcast industry experience or knowledge of relevant workflows, standards, and practices
