The Vice President of Sales - North America, plays a critical role in steering Ross Video's strategic direction and execution of sales initiatives across multiple vertical markets, including Broadcast, Sports & Live Events, AV Corporate sectors and other segments within the North America region.

This executive leadership position is tasked with setting and realizing sales objectives, spearheading strategic partnerships, and guiding the sales team towards achieving the company's expansive business goals. By working in concert with the Senior Vice President of Global Sales and other members of Ross leadership team, the VP of Sales, North America, ensures that regional strategies are not only aligned with global objectives but also tailored to capitalize on the unique opportunities and challenges across these diverse verticals.

The role demands a proactive approach to expanding market share and fostering innovation in product and service offerings, with a focus on providing a superior customer experience, making Ross Video a preferred partner in the industry.

What the job is all about:

  • Collaborate and align with the Corporate Marketing, Vertical Markets & Solutions, and Product teams to ensure a cohesive market strategy, leveraging cross-functional insights to drive regional sales initiatives and support global brand positioning.
  • Strategically steer the North America sales direction, aligning regional goals with global sales objectives and customizing efforts to penetrate multiple vertical markets such as Broadcast, Sports & Live Events, and AV Corporate.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to meet sales targets and expand the customer base across the diverse North America markets.
  • Lead the North America Team to consistently achieve quarterly and annual sales targets by managing a stratified client pipeline to ensure key prospects are identified, prioritized, and pursued to meet financial goals.
  • Lead and collaborate with the North America Management Team to develop short- and long-term strategic plans, including the preparation of annual business plans.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, understanding their needs across various industries.
  • Act as an example of sales excellence and strategic leadership, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Continuously seek and implement productivity improvements within the sales team to enhance both efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging innovative tools, processes, and strategies to optimize operations and drive superior sales performance.
  • Enhance organizational effectiveness through strategic recruitment, mentoring, and development.
  • Collaborate with the Channel Manager to develop and execute channel partner engagement and expansion strategies, aiming to widen market reach and deepen penetration in key segments, ensuring a unified approach to market penetration.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting and QBRs and compile reports for the Senior Vice President of Global Sales and the executive leadership, facilitating informed strategic decisions.
  • Create training and development plans for direct reports, including contributing to the evolution of the Ross Way To Sell (RWTS), and ensuring the sales team is following RWTS practices. Complete Performance Reviews for your direct reports timely and thoroughly.
  • Represent Ross Video at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the company’s innovations across vertical markets.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities, adapting strategies to maintain competitiveness and meet customer needs.
  • Drive the adoption of sales processes and tools to maximize team productivity and effectiveness.
  • Actively participate in the Global Sales Leadership Team, contributing to the formulation and execution of global sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Exude the behaviors identified within Ross Video’s Culture Statements and adhere to the company’s Code of Ethics, setting a standard for integrity and professionalism within the team.
  • Perform other related duties as required by the Senior Vice President of Global Sales, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to Ross Video's overarching goals.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, business administration, marketing, sales, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of proven experience in leadership roles within the broadcast or related technology sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close with a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Strong experience in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, and business planning.
  • Demonstrate exceptional ability to influence without authority and effectively resolve conflicts, fostering a collaborative environment where diverse perspectives are valued, and consensus is achieved.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with proficiency in additional languages relevant to the North America region being highly desirable.
  • Strong business acumen and industry expertise, with a deep understanding of regional market dynamics within the North America territory.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and financial practices.
  • Exceptional mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and leadership skills, with the ability to set and achieve challenging goals.
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the North America region and internationally as required.
