The Product Verification Specialist works closely with the Development and PV teams, developing and executing a series of comprehensive customer centered test suites prior to Product Release. The individual will ensure that test coverage and test case execution are as efficient and effective as possible.

What the job is all about:

  • The Product Verification Specialist is responsible for testing the wide range of products in the Connectivity product line. Duties include;
  • Participation in the product development process with continual feedback on product usability and design testability.
  • Design and implementation of custom testing solutions based on existing company technology.
  • Development and maintenance of test plans and cases.
  • Development of test scripts to the automated test suite.
  • Regular test execution and reporting of progress and bugs.
  • Assisting in investigation and reproduction of product and customer issues.
  • Participation in the maintenance, management, and expansion of the system lab environment.
  • Estimation of tasks for scheduling purposes.
  • Performance of conformity testing to industry standards.
  • Third party equipment integration into the system and automated test suite.
  • Adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
  • Other related duties as required.

Who you are:

  • Technical or IT related education or 5 years of equivalent experience.
  • Self-starter and quick learner with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of networking (IP).
  • Experience with broadcast and IP switch products strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows)
  • Background in programming, scripting, and databases is favored.
  • Extensive experience scripting, TCL and or Python.
  • Demonstration of good analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with PV tools, bug tracking systems and test plan development.
  • Strong test, analysis, debug, and diagnosis experience with broadcast equipment
  • Possess strong attention to detail.
  • A team player, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive experience with PV tools, bug tracking systems and test plan development.
  • Familiarity with project planning and development of schedules
  • Occasional lifting, bending, stooping required to maintain and improve and maintain lab area and equipment.
