This position will be assigned to various roles and workstations throughout Systems Assembly as operationally required and will play a role in all stages of production by helping in various departmental cells. They will provide relief to the department cell that has current constraints in the flow of production. This position will require flexibility as they could work in different cells each day/week.

Who you will report to: Production Manager

What the job is all about:

  • Assemble metal boxes and position mount units according to instructions
  • Read work orders, follow MWI’s
  • Responsible for positioning and aligning parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or another holding devices
  • Use crimps, screws, bolts, rivets, or similar operations to join or secure parts and connect component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points
  • Installing finished assemblies or subassemblies in metal boxes and assemble and attach hardware, such as caps, knobs, switches, clamps, bumpers, clips, fasteners, nuts, washers, and labels to assemblies
  • Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as cleaning, packaging unpacking metal to prepare for builds
  • Run and record data of functional tests of assemblies and metal boxes
  • Shift work and overtime may be required

  • Strong ability to use computer to retrieve drawings or any information needed to perform builds

Bonus points if you have the following:

  • Manufacturing experience
  • High school diploma
  • Experience with computer systems, assembly, or testing
