Ross Video, a leader in the video production industry technology and services sector, is undergoing rapid expansion globally. Our Cloud Solutions play an increasingly important role in this growth. In the role of Vice President, Cloud Solutions, you will be instrumental in shaping, implementing, and advancing our cloud strategy and solutions, directly influencing the future trajectory of Ross Video's products. Your role involves collaboration with other product leaders to develop and execute a visionary cloud strategy, transforming the landscape of live production and broadcast.

This is a hybrid role that combines business acumen and technical expertise, reporting directly to the Executive Vice-President & Chief Marketing Officer and working closely with the Chief Technology Officer.

What the job is all about:

Strategy & Planning

  • Work cross-functionally with other Product Family Vice Presidents, the CMO and CTO in creating a strategy and roadmap for end to end Ross and Partner Company cloud productions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Leadership Team to ensure Cloud Solutions align with overall company objectives and strategies.
  • Engage with other senior leaders in formulating and administering company policies and developing long-range goals and objectives for Cloud Solutions.
  • Align strategies with market trends (product marketing) and technology trends (R&D).
  • Work cross-functionally with other Product Family Vice Presidents in leveraging the reuse of associated cloud technologies.

Business & Sales

  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to establish and achieve annual sales targets and strategies.
  • Strive to surpass forecasted sales, gross margin, cash flow, and profitability targets for the product line.
  • Provide regular performance updates to the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Set objectives and develop strategies for managing departmental budgets.
  • Train sales teams and channel partners to efficiently design customer solutions and effectively sell products.
  • Forge relationships with end users through direct engagement, promoting Ross products and services.
  • Conduct sales presentations to end users and business partners.
  • Assist in preparing tender responses and, where necessary, participate in negotiations and closing sales.

Product Marketing

  • Oversee all Marketing activities for Cloud Solutions, in close collaboration with the Corporate Marketing Team.
  • Continuously train sales and dealer channels in coordination with the marketing team.
  • Manage product marketing while aligning with R&D timelines.
  • Ensure ethical marketing and sales of product lines as per the Ross Video Code of Ethics.
  • Monitor and report on competitor activities, products and pricing.
  • Conduct market analysis to understand market trends, customer needs.
  • Explore new market applications and partnerships.

R&D & Technology

  • Foster innovation and collaboration in Cloud Solutions across various R&D teams.
  • Collaborate with Vice Presidents of Products to manage R&D activities related to Cloud Solutions.
  • Partner with program management to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Focus R&D teams on building performant, scalable, secure, and cost-efficient Cloud products and services.
  • Stay informed about relevant technology trends to foster breakthrough solutions.
  • Develop key technology partnerships and represent the company in industry organizations and standards efforts.


  • Foster creativity and determination within the team to achieve exceptional results.
  • Develop and communicate both short-term and long-term strategic plans.
  • Build and structure an effective team, collaborating with HR and managers for recruitment, training, and development.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent experience in marketing, strategy, and business planning.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior product line management role, preferably in the live video production industry.
  • Strategic mindset with a track record of developing, influencing, and executing plans.
  • Hands-on leader with expertise in technical, business, and people management.
  • Innovative thinker capable of generating valuable insights and creative solutions.
  • Proven leadership ability, both directly and through influence.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies and public cloud infrastructure.
  • Skilled at driving internal and external alignment towards shared goals.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining strategic alliances.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results.
