What the job is all about:
We are seeking a talented Automation Testing Specialist to join the Carbonite switchers group at Ross Video. The Carbonite group is responsible for developing highly successful and acclaimed video Carbonite switchers and control surfaces, such as TouchDrive.

In this role, your primary focus will be to work with other team members to address automated testing needs for existing and emerging new products. The successful candidate will develop software to automatically test Ross Video products working with various switchers and other video analysis tools. This role requires a solid foundation of automation testing. This role will also involve debugging and identifying root causes of field tickets via automation testing.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in test automation development.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Python scripting.

  • Proficient in writing Gherkin-based test scripts using RobotFramework.

  • Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripting.

  • Strong knowledge of SDLC and proficiency in test planning, PV tools, bug tracking systems.

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts.

  • Understanding of versioning tools such as GIT, SVN.

  • Asset: Prior experience with drivers such as Selenium.

  • Asset: Familiarity with broadcasting, switchers, or video production in general.

  • Asset: Experience in Object-Oriented Programming.

  • Asset: University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalents.

  • Asset: Strong software development skills.
