Ross Video powers video production for billions of global viewers daily with the industry’s widest range of smart production solutions. We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Human Resources team as HR Generalist to support Ross Video’s Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) based teams.

 

Working closely with all members of the Human Resources team, the HR Generalist will not only play a significant role in support to managers and employees based in EMEA region but will also be involved in the development and maintenance of HR policies and programs. This is a hybrid role, working from the Reading, UK office at least 1 day per week and the balance from home.

 

Who you report to: Manager – Regional HR

  

What the job is all about:

  • Serve as first point of contact for employee relations issues for our EMEA based teams by answering questions and resolving employee issues, according to established policies and procedures
  • Assist in the implementation of HR programs; these programs could include but are not limited to annual compensation and performance review cycles, talent management initiatives and workforce planning and leadership development training
  • Act as local Health & Safety representative; ensure compliance with jurisdictional H&S regulations including creating and updating policies and procedures, training, documentation and communication with local staff, maintain H&S bulletin boards, as applicable
  • Support the full recruitment life-cycle for all EMEA region roles, from candidate sourcing to onboarding
  • Provide guidance and support on HR policies or processes related to country specific legislation and compliance for the region; this could include but is not limited to time and leave policies, governmental compliance reporting submissions, internal or external audits, corporate wide policies that include HR subject matter
  • Act as liaison between the regional client group and corporate head-office administrative teams; assist with implementation of corporate programs and initiatives as required
  • Assist with special HR projects and local initiatives as required
  • Perform other related duties as required

 

Who you are:

  • University or college degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline, and/or equivalent work experience in an HR team
  • Minimum 5+ years of HR experience preferably in a high-tech environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with employees and local management team members
  • Fluency in and English (oral and written) required
  • Ability to deal with confidential information with a high degree of diplomacy; ability to build trusted relationships
  • Organized and very detail orientated but also able to see the big picture
  • Knowledge of UK employment related legislation required, additional regions in EMEA an asset
  • Strong-working knowledge of MS-Office package and general computer software; familiarity with Ceridian Dayforce an asset
