What the job is all about:

• Develop interfaces between FPGA hardware and embedded software
• Work with other members of the team to verify the functionality of embedded SW and FPGA
• Generate both specification & design documentation to support cross functional team
• Provide support and guidance on embedded control solutions
• Thoroughly self-test all designs and support DevTest & Product Verification

Who you are:

• Expertise in Linux Kernel development
• Strong C / C++ coding skills
• Experience with real time operating systems
• Experience with bash shell scripting
• Experience with ARM-based embedded processors, especially System-on-a-Chip devices such as Altera SOC and Xilinx Zynq
• Experience with embedded microcontroller SW design
• Knowledge of related interfaces/technologies such as IP Stack, storage, USB, I2C, SPI, PCIe, DMA and other systems.
• Ability to accurately estimate task and project durations
• B.S. in Engineering required
• Use of embedded Linux development frameworks such as Buildroot, Yocto and/or other related tools (e.g. crosstool-ng).
• Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, etc)
• Understanding of digital video and associated audio standards a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work as part of a team or independently as required
• Keen observational skills and problem solving intuition
• Organized and detail oriented self-starter
• Ability to learn new concepts quickly and work towards finding creative solutions to challenging problems
• Minimum 5+ years SW & Embedded development experience
