This position is in person at our Iroquois, Ontario facility.
As part of the Returned Materials (RMA) team, you will evaluate, initiate the repair, and record results of customer return cases. The information discovered by this position plays a crucial role in enacting improvements at all levels of the organization.
You are working directly with the varied Ross stakeholders, with the mindset that accurate data provides appropriate and targeted feedback which allows for optimum results.

What the job is all about:
- Using information from customer-facing processes, you will evaluate and record results of RMA cases. You will follow prescribed processes for data collection and product reclamation while having the latitude working with the Manager to create test plans to best confirm customer complaints and start our understanding of the real root causes of problems.
- As part of the fact-finding process, regular interaction with Tech Support, R&D and Test Development provides the needed foundation and background to process cases in the most effective and efficient manner.
- Use sanctioned tools for rework and upgrade request to the manufacturing floor while ensuring product identification at all levels are accurate and representative.
- Upon customer request, provide RMA feedback through an approved reporting mechanism.
- Assist RMA Coordinators in identifying incoming product
Who you are:
- 3+ years as a Test Technician, Technical Support Specialist or Product Verification Specialist or other related positions
- 2-3 year Broadcast Technology an asset, 3 year Electronics Engineering diploma, or related experience
- Design and implementation of test strategies such as functional testing, performance testing, stress testing and system testing is essential
- Proficiency at system and component level troubleshooting and debug.
- Excellent understanding of product identification, revision, lifecycle, and structure at all levels.
- Excellent understanding of video/audio test equipment along with industry standards (ie: SMPTE).
- Broadcast equipment operation (see Ross portfolio for examples)
- Basic networking knowledge
- Self-starter, quick learner and can work with minimum supervision in meeting schedules and project deadlines
- High initiative and well developed analytical, problem solving, communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.
- Ability to cope with varying levels of support and documentation.
- Able to envision the entire project and look for problem areas
- Organized and very detail orientated
Bonus points if you have the following:
- A comprehension of Ross Video’s portfolio.
- Script writing using Autoit, TCL , JavaScript, Linux
