The Solution Architect will support the Latin Americas Sales team in its initiative to increase sales of Ross Video’s Graphics solutions including, production graphics, News MOS solutions and AR/VS solutions, using Ross Video’s award-winning XPression Real-Time Motion Graphics System and Ross Virtual Solutions. This key role in the Ross Sales organization requires a unique blend of graphics design / engineering / solutions solving skills along with the “soft skills” required in a sales process.

The Solution Architect is responsible, during pre-and post-sales activities, for ensuring Ross Video’s Superior Customer Experience. This requires collaboration with the sales team, customer interaction and managing the client’s expectations throughout the engagement. For complex projects, coordination with our services implementation team including Schedulers, Commissioners, Trainers, Creative Services Technical Support Specialists, and Field Service Developers, to ensure a successful launch of Ross solutions at clients’ facilities.

What the job is all about:

  • Participate and contribute to sales opportunities driven by the Regional Sales Managers, prioritizing efforts based on maximizing total impact on the team’s productivity.
  • Build relationships with prospects to promote Ross graphics systems and workflow.
  • Travel to different territories to support and deliver key onsite customer demos and presentations and assess unique needs of the region.
  • Demonstrate XPression software via webinar and at customer sites.
  • Advise and assist end users, re-sellers, and system integrators concerning sales and purchase of Ross graphics.
  • Organize Ross graphics road shows, training events, and other user activities in cooperation with product marketing.
  • Scope technical solutions to address customer requirements, assess customers met and unmet needs, and recommend solutions that optimize value for both the customer and Ross Video.
  • Coordinate closely with Ross’ internal Sales team and business partners to align solutions designed to meet our customers’ business requirements.
  • Proactively engage in opportunity reviews ensuring they are properly configured aligned in the sales process.
  • Educate and provide professional development to team and business partners to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
  • Engage in customer facing product presentations, demos, training, and workflow guidance to end-users and business partners at customer premise or tradeshows.
  • Develop project plans, assist scheduling with resource allocation, coordinate Ross technical services, third party resources and client teams.
  • Assist in resolution of customer complaints regarding equipment, supplies, and services.
  • Follow company code of ethics, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Who you are:

  • Experience working in or around broadcast television graphics and television news.
  • Proficiency in broadcast graphics platforms from Ross Video and, or other competitive vendors.
  • Understanding of the live production and MOS workflows, especially graphics and Media Asset Management.
  • Passionate about broadcast & production industry.
  • Self-starter and quick learner with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Organized and detail oriented with excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Able to work co-operatively with and across all company departments.
  • Minimum 5 years of combined sales, sales engineering, presales experience, systems application, or product specialist experience.
  • Poses strong knowledge of industry standard protocols, connectors, and terminations.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and CAD.
  • Excellent Communication & Presentation Skills.
  • Must be proficient in both Desktop and Server Networking practices.
  • Able to work co-operatively with and across all company departments.
  • Possesses strong and creative problem-solving traits.
  • Willing to Travel up to 60% of the time.
  • Must live within 100 km of a major airport.
  • Valid Passport and travel US visa
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Occasional requirement to set-up equipment – involves lifting to 23kg, reaching, bending, stooping, etc.
  • Language skills
  • English speaking & writing proficiency is required.
  • Spanish speaking & writing proficiency is required.
  • Proficiency in Portuguese is desired.
