The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is excited to join an innovative team shaping the future of logistics. As part of our AI Native Engineering organization, you will help develop software that thoughtfully integrates the latest AI tools to create smarter, more scalable systems.

You will contribute to the core systems of Rose Rocket’s next-generation logistics platform—whether developing the frameworks that power our system or delivering the customer-facing features that bring it to life. Your work will span from foundational infrastructure to the experiences that help our customers move goods more efficiently.

What you'll be doing

• Collaborate on technical direction while mentoring teammates in a supportive, knowledge-sharing culture.
• Bring ideas from concept to delivery and see how your work makes a meaningful impact in the world of trucking.
• Partner with cross-functional teams that value curiosity, creativity, and continuous improvement.
• Integrate and utilize AI tools across planning, implementation, and verification to accelerate delivery while raising quality standards.

What Will Help You Succeed

• A collaborative and curious mindset, with a hands-on approach to solving problems.
• Genuine care for your craft and the people who use your work.
• 5+ years (or equivalent experience) developing reliable, production-ready software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Interest in mentoring and supporting others—helping teammates grow while continuing to grow yourself.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Cline, Windsurf) and enthusiasm to continue learning.
• Experience with agile project management tools (JIRA, Asana, Linear, or equivalent).
• Proficiency with Git and a strong understanding of version control best practices.
