Rocket Doctor is launching a new Family Health Organization (FHO) in the Greater Toronto Area and we’re looking for a Founding MD to build and lead the group, supported by a large and well organized team.

This is a rare opportunity for a family physician who wants clinical autonomy, leadership, and stable FHO income without the administrative burden of running a practice alone.

You’ll lead your own patient panel, help shape how care is delivered, and work both virtually and in-person, backed by Rocket Doctor’s full operations, billing, and technology team.

Your role:

  • Lead and launch a new GTA-based Family Health Organization
  • Build and care for your own rostered patient panel
  • Provide both in-person and virtual care
  • Shape clinic workflows and the patient experience
  • Mentor and collaborate with a small group of physicians
  • Serve as the clinical voice and leader for the practice
  • Help guide quality improvement and patient experience initiatives

Rocket Doctor Handles the Rest:

  • Clinic space + infrastructure
  • Operations and administrative support
  • Billing, scheduling, and back-office management
  • Technology + EMR
  • Patient acquisition and panel growth support
  • Recruitment assistance for additional physicians
  • Care coordination and support staff

So you can focus on medicine and leadership, not logistics or paperwork.

Compensation:

This role is funded through Ontario’s FHO capitation model and leadership incentives, providing both stability and upside.

You can expect:

  • Stable base income from rostered patients (provincial capitation funding)
  • Performance incentives tied to panel size and engagement
  • Additional Ministry leadership funding of up to $100,000 annually
  • Estimated total annual earnings for a mature panel: $300,000–$350,000+
  • 100% of leadership incentives paid directly to the MD Lead
  • Stock and option grants

Rocket Doctor covers clinic infrastructure, operations, billing support, and admin costs, reducing overhead compared to running an independent FHO.
