About the role
We’re a highly driven group of sales professionals focused on driving adoption of the world’s most powerful, easy-to-use online payroll, HR, and group benefits management solution for small and mid-sized businesses.

As an Account Executive at Rise, you’ll be pioneering a new space, developing untapped business, and nurturing established territories to build your business. You’re a master at solution selling and engaging clients by leveraging key resources and stakeholders to drive deals. You also have a highly developed capacity to consult around people management, payroll and finance and an understanding of the employee benefits landscape.
We have a rigorous onboarding training program where you will work with current Account Executives and Product Managers to enhance your knowledge of our technology and sales processes.
Are you up for the challenge?
The day-to-day
You will nurture leads through the sales cycle and close contracts. You can expect to receive marketing/SDR-assisted leads, but our most successful Account Executives also actively self-source prospects from cold sources and/or lost opportunities/leads
Identify and qualify opportunities by prospecting and developing key relationships with organizations within your territory, with a focus on organizations between 50-200 employees in size
Conduct and facilitate business case presentations and product demonstrations to drive client engagement and understanding
Use sales enablement tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, Zoominfo, and other automation tools
Maintain accurate and timely customer, planning and forecasting data
What success looks like
Meeting monthly marketing-assisted and self-sourced sales quota
Meeting weekly activity KPI measurements such as phone calls, meetings, and events
Maintaining excellent account hygiene in our CRM
Collaborate with our technical team to present end-to-end payroll and HRIS workflow solutions and deliver strategic business plans
Demonstrating the technical and professional skills to ensure mastery of the product offerings, in-depth knowledge of the competition and awareness of industry developments and trends in the market
About you
4+ years of relationship-building sales experience in a consultative sales environment
Experience selling in a high-growth SaaS environment
Preferred: 2+ years selling HCM/HRIS cloud-based products and services in the small to medium enterprise space
Degree/Diploma in Human Resources, Actuarial Sciences, engineering or relevant work experience
Understand the buyer: show enthusiasm in supporting the ever-evolving needs of small to medium businesses
Results driven: results driven with a strong sense of agency and industriousness
Build relationships: a natural tendency towards building mutually beneficial relationships
Communication: outstanding communication and presentation skills
Resilience and adaptability: capacity to learn, evolve, and apply fresh ideas in highly-dynamic situations
Customer-centric: ability to create quick, deep rapport with small and medium business owners and other influencers/stakeholders
Nice-to-have: fluent in Canadian French

This position offers $60-75k in base salary, based on experience, and $135-$150k in on-target earnings (OTE).
