About the role

The Employee Group Benefits Solutions Consultant works alongside a highly-driven group of professionals focused on driving people engagement. In this role, you will focus on building strong relationships with clients, administrators, and insurance providers. As the primary point of contact for existing and prospective clients, you are responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and reviewing plan designs. You will also prepare and lead winning presentations with clients and deliver cost-effective solutions that meet the client’s needs. This role collaborates with the sales and services teams and requires an individual that demonstrates leadership, critical thinking, and proactive problem-solving skills. 

Your day-to-day

  • Consult client goals and build competitive, strategic, cost-effective plan design based on the business needs of the client. Suggest and illustrates how Rise solutions can better meet business needs and solve business problems

  • Analyze financial and claims information pertaining to benefits plans, claim proposals and annual renewals

  • Liaise with insurance providers and negotiate premium rates and service agreements

  • Conduct and facilitate presentations to drive client engagement and understanding

  • Involved in all aspects of the sales cycle including strategy development, development and presentation of compelling and relevant solutions

  • Share feedback and best practices to improve sales team effectiveness

  • Demonstrate technical competency in our platform

  • Maintaining the technical and professional skills to ensure mastery of the product offerings, in-depth knowledge of the competition and awareness of industry developments and trends in the market

  • Maintain accurate and timely customer, planning and forecasting data

  • Capture of all relevant information in the SFDC/CRM system

  • Keep up to date with the Rise processes and any relevant changes

About you

  • Curious, industrious, and tenacious

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), problem solving and organizational skills

  • Advanced user of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (or Google Workspace)

  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated aptitude for working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Demonstrated business acumen, high energy and integrity, sense of urgency, work ethic and results driven

Ideal candidate:

  • 4+ years of experience in Group Benefits and/or Insurance Industry

  • 2+ years in employee benefits consultative experience

  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resources, Actuarial Sciences, or relevant field

  • LLQP license certification (or in pursuit of)

  • FCIA or CEBS an asset 

  • Sales and business development experience

  • Project management, collaboration, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Experience using sales enablement tools such as Salesloft, Salesforce and Zoominfo
