About the role
As a Senior Software Engineer on Rise’s Platform team, you’ll work closely with Product and Design to ship great things to our customers and collaborate with other engineers to deliver on technical initiatives that make us faster, safer, and happier. You’ll have an opportunity to shape the evolution of our reusable component libraries and work with other talented engineers on challenging but rewarding projects.

The day-to-day

• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, test, and deploy software applications.

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

• Debug and troubleshoot software issues and implement effective solutions.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest software development trends and technologies.

• Contribute to the documentation of software components and processes.

• Assist in the planning and estimation of project tasks.

• Work with engineering stakeholders to evolve Platform tooling to improve efficiency across teams

• Evangelize work of the Platform team and support other teams as they adopt and integrate common tools, services, and libraries.

About you

• Over 5 years working in large products and complex domains; SaaS or enterprise level products is required.

• Has extensive experience with React with Typescript

• Has working knowledge of responsive web applications

• Advocates for best practices and has a keen eye for things that can be consolidated

• Ability to weigh in on technical design documentation; making decisions based on data

• Good experience with the software development lifecycle & understanding of software design / Architecture.

• A university degree in computer science or an equivalent full-time work experience (6+ years)

• Has worked on a reusable component library
