ResQ is looking for a Senior Product Analyst to join our Engineering team and help us take ResQ to the next level 🚀.

As a Senior Product Analyst joining ResQ, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction of our product line. You’ll generate insights to guide product development, optimize user experiences, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding the product development organization to collect data for analysis and experimentation.

What you will do:

  • Data Analysis & Insights📈: Conduct in-depth analysis of product performance metrics, user behaviour, and market trends to inform product strategy. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and product health. Use advanced statistical techniques and tools to uncover insights and patterns in complex data sets.

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap 💬: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to define product requirements and prioritize features based on data-driven insights. Support the development of product roadmaps by providing actionable recommendations and identifying opportunities for enhancement.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration 👩🏻👨🏿🧑🏽👨🏼: Collaborate with engineers to ensure data collection thoroughness, accuracy, and quality. Work with product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to enable their work by delivering knowledge on the product and our users. Collaborate with data scientists and data engineers to define and execute on our data warehousing processes.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in product analysis or a related analytical role within a SaaS environment.

  • Proficiency in data technologies such as SQL and DBT, and in programming in Python.

  • Experience in using dashboarding software such as Looker and creating ad-hoc analyses using notebooking software such as Hex.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to explore large datasets and translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Proven experience in working with cross-functional teams and presenting data-driven recommendations to senior stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of product development processes.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves:

  • Experience with data engineering and ETL, including building new data warehousing transformations using DBT and using Airflow to schedule and execute those jobs.

  • Knowledge of machine learning and inference, including data mining.

What to expect as a candidate:

While we are never perfect, we have aimed to build a process that fosters fairness and helps to minimize bias, this includes structured processes and interviews. Our goal is that everyone interviewed has a positive experience, regardless of the outcome.

Stage 1️⃣: Send us your resume and a note about how your story connects to ours. Feel free to focus on what you have learned rather than just a list of responsibilities. Tell us your story! We’ll aim to tell you quickly if it is not the right fit so you are always informed.

Stage 2️⃣: Successful candidates will meet with our Talent lead. It will be standardized to keep things fair but also with enough room to show your uniqueness. We’ll communicate the salary range now for full transparency. If you like us and we also think there is a fit, we’ll invite you to the next stage.

Stage 3️⃣: A call with our Head of Engineering who will ask you more in depth questions about your experience and skills. Come with questions! If this call goes well and we both want to move forward with each other we will ask you to complete a live coding assignment for your next call.

Stage 4️⃣: This stage will be with both our Head of Engineering and another member from the team. We will take you through a technical case study to better understand your technical skills. We will also leave time to give feedback and ask some more questions.

Stage 5️⃣: This round will be an interview with our Head of Product and another member from our product team. This will give you an opportunity to understand how we operate cross-functionally and assess more of your business thinking.

Stage 6️⃣: This is the final stage in the process where you will meet our CEO, KJ. This stage will be more of an introductory call and less focused on your in depth skills and knowledge. KJ will share with you more about ResQ’s vision and mission. He will also ask you some more questions and he will, of course, be able to answer any additional questions you might have.
