We are excited to establish a Registry Operations Center in India to serve the newly awarded NIXI .IN TSP (Technical Service Provider) contract. This center will also support our growing presence in ccTLDs, gTLDs, and dotBrand operations globally.

About the opportunity
As Registrar Channel Manager, you will be responsible for development and managing registrar partnerships to assist the growth of .IN domain names both in India and globally. In this role, you will be responsible facilitate a positive and productive long-term relationship with Registrars, the National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) and Tucows Registry, the technical services provider. This role will include assisting registrars in onboarding, activation and promotions management (if applicable). You will maintain an open flow of communication with Registrars, being highly attuned and responsive to any account problems, concerns, including invoicing issues and suggestions. You will focus on service feedback, enhancement, and maintenance notices. This position is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic, exciting team environment and have an impact in helping to establish Tucows Registry as the new service provider in India. Job Duties
- Successfully manage a list of current and future registrars to help them have smooth experience and service
- Gain an in-depth understanding of domain industry knowledge and core product knowledge
- Collaborate with internal departments and NIXI, as necessary, to expedite the resolution of customer issues.
- Manage onboarding, connections processing and administrative requirements around onboarding and domain sales from the Registrar Channel.
- Facilitate the resolution of customer issues and ensures correct expectations are set with customers throughout the process and SLA are met.
- Engage in strategic and tactical activities that will contribute to the successful implementation as Tucows Registry as a service provider to NIXI, its registrars and the Internet Community in India.
- Ensure regular ongoing communication of maintenance, enhancements, promotions, new services etc.
- Where necessary, support training and marketing efforts such as domain Industry events and other engagement activities
- Collaborate with the Technical Team, Customer Support and Account Managers to solve any problems
- Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Passion for the internet/tech industry
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to grasp/understand complex technology
- Knowledge of and experience in project management advantage
- Natural communicator with the ability to quickly develop rapport and maintain business relationships
Qualifications Required
- MBA
- Degree with technical background
- 3-5 years of Client Sales/Account Management experience in a technology environment
- Driver’s license optional
- PAN card
- Aadhar card
- Languages required: Hindi and English
