Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Product Quality & Documentation Specialist, Medical Imaging with a strong background in healthcare IT, particularly radiology workflows. This role combines clinical domain knowledge with software quality assurance and technical documentation skills. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and clarity of our healthcare technology products by working directly with QA, development, and knowledge management teams.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in EMR/RIS/PACS environments, is comfortable creating clinical test scenarios for software-based workflows, drafting technical content, and is fluent in using modern AI tools to streamline work. This is a cross-functional position that will require active collaboration with developers, QA engineers, product managers, and technical content creators to ensure our solutions are accurate, well-documented, and clinically aligned.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Workflow Expertise
- Serve as a clinical subject matter expert for radiology and healthcare workflows to ensure functional accuracy of the product.
- Review product requirements and translate clinical use cases into testable scenarios and documentation content that helps in validation of developed features.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to validate workflows during feature planning and development cycles.
Quality Assurance Support
- Work closely with QA teams to define and write relevant test cases and validation criteria.
- Contribute to product discovery and sprint planning, providing input from a clinical workflow perspective.
Technical Documentation & Knowledge Validation
- Co-author and review internal and external technical documentation including user manuals, implementation guides, and release notes.
- Partner with knowledge management teams to validate training materials, onboarding documentation, and support articles for clinical accuracy.
- Ensure all materials are updated in line with new features, regulatory changes, and clinical best practices.
Collaboration & AI Tools Integration
- Work directly with multiple development teams to stay aligned with product changes and provide real-time feedback on features and documentation needs.
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, Internal AI-based tools) to improve efficiency and quality of documentation and QA processes.
- Help establish workflows that integrate AI-assisted drafting, test case generation, and terminology refinement.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a QA, technical documentation, or clinical informatics role within a healthcare IT environment.
- Strong understanding of radiology workflows and related healthcare systems (EMR, RIS, PACS).
- Proven ability to write structured and accurate technical documentation tailored for clinical and technical audiences.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Markdown, GIT, and AI-enhanced writing or QA platforms.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working with developers, product managers, and clinical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Health Informatics, Radiologic Technology, Computer Science, Technical Communication).
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, DICOM).
- Experience contributing to FDA or regulatory-compliant healthcare software products.
