About the team

Proto’s team is extremely global with 80% BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and Persons of Colour) and 50% female management working across 15+ countries. We’re a remote team of self-starting and entrepreneurial SaaS engineers, operations and growth professionals. Our remote team follows established processes for cross-cultural and timezone collaboration, with opportunities to periodic in-person work opportunities.

Job Summary

We are looking for a product marketing specialist who excels in creating compelling product and sales assets to support the PLG and enterprise sales and marketing efforts of Proto and its subsidiary. This full time position will be the bridge between the Growth and R&D teams, turning product information into marketable communication. Reporting to the Head of Growth, the key responsibilities of the Product Marketer include:

Responsibility
  • Understand the product and its application to translate technical information into consumer friendly content.
  • Develop MoFu and BoFu content including, but not limited to, case studies, press releases, sales decks, landing pages, feature pages, and product decks.
  • Support product development by creating tool tips and product-related content for the UI and website.
  • Work with the design team to prepare product marketing assets and asset templates.
  • Keep updated on ICPs and Buyer personas, and their requirements, to suggest and develop product and sales content.
  • Undertake competitive and market research and recommend product updates where appropriate.
  • Other responsibilities as may be applicable.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience collaborating between development and marketing teams.
  • Experience developing product marketing content.
  • Experience working across teams to create marketing, product, and sales assets.
  • Experience with social media posting and basic analytics.
  • Experience with HubSpot.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience writing thought leadership and blog articles.
  • Experience writing long and short form ToFu content.
  • Experience with Google Analytics.
