Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Own territory management and proactively generate new business across the Benelux region (≈ ⅓ migration of existing business, ⅓ expansion, ⅓ new business).

  • Build strong relationships with IT and business decision-makers at insurers.

  • Lead the full sales cycle from first contact to deal closure, including value-based positioning and business case support.

  • Coordinate with Sales Ops, Marketing, Product, and Professional Services to execute account strategies.

  • Maintain accurate pipeline and account data in company systems.

  • Manage post-sale relationships with support from Customer Account and Success teams.

  • Deliver technical/functional presentations with product experts and advisors.

  • Prepare proposals and quotations aligned with client expectations and company guidelines.

  • Monitor competitor activity and provide insight to marketing and product teams.

  • Represent Guidewire at industry events; travel required to both Belgium and Netherlands.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Native-level French and Dutch is a big plus and deep knowledge of the Benelux insurance market; experience working with or at insurers.

  • 10–15 years of enterprise software sales, ideally SaaS, selling complex core systems into insurance.

  • Proven ability to create, advance, and close large strategic deals within long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.

  • Strong value-selling skills and ability to connect client business needs with Guidewire solutions.

  • Highly proactive, persistent, and comfortable navigating barriers within large organizations.

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of CIO/CTO challenges, enterprise tech, and core system transformation.

  • Team-oriented approach with the ability to lead autonomously in the territory.

  • Experience working with system integrators and strategic partners.

  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating market trends and identifying new opportunities.
