With Prodigy, kids practice standards-aligned skills in Math and English as they play our fun, adaptive learning games. All with teacher and parent tools to support their learning in class and at home.

In the role of a QA Analyst (Engineering), you will have the opportunity to work closely with both game and non-game teams, contributing valuable feedback, creating test plans and documentation, and providing some manual testing support for upcoming features. You will also play a crucial role in recording and organizing issues brought forward by our Engineering, QA, and Customer Support teams. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of new technology and testing practices for web, mobile and game-related projects, enabling Prodigy to swiftly adapt to evolving technological and social landscapes. Your dedication will help us maintain our commitment to being a user-obsessed company, focused on delivering the best possible experience for our users.

Your Impact

  • Collaborate with your manager, and bridge communication between engineering and game teams to help ensure high quality standards and great user experiences.

  • Contribute to the development of documentation and test cases for our websites, games, mobile solutions, and core features.

  • Cooperate closely with engineering and game teams to support them in organizing, triaging, and resolving bugs efficiently.

  • Conduct and review assessments regarding quality improvements, internal processes, and potential bugs.

  • Create and maintain test plans for third party partners, contractors, and outsourced QA, with both manual and automated flows in mind.

  • Provide manual testing support for small and large-scale projects, and ensure features meet quality standards before release.

About You

  • Your experience in writing and implementing test cases for both new and established games / applications will greatly enhance our capabilities, while your genuine passion for both software, and gaming spaces will amplify the impact you make.

  • As an effective communicator, you will thrive in a remote work environment, collaborating seamlessly with distributed development teams.

  • Being technically savvy, you thrive off of great web UX, and will fearlessly explore the inner workings of software by delving into the console of your web browser.

  • Being savvy in the gaming space as well, you are aware of current gaming trends, and are excited about creating positive gameplay experiences for our players.

  • Your excellent time management skills will be essential as we handle multiple priorities, requiring you to efficiently prioritize and adapt to changing circumstances.

  • Your familiarity with SCRUM / AGILE methodologies will enable you to identify opportunities for enhancing your team's performance.

  • Your passion for creating an inclusive environment will contribute to our collective efforts in making learning enjoyable for everyone.

  • Above all, your dedication to inclusivity aligns with our mission of ensuring all students develop a love of learning.

  • Experience working in an interactive media environment, or game development.

  • A passion for UX, writing, and quality - in games, web, and mobile!

  • Agile workflow experience and some light automation knowledge is preferred.
