The Data Developer will concentrate on building data models from raw data artifacts, contributing to the development of DBT models, and optimizing data pipelines. In supporting senior team members, this role ensures reliable data delivery and collaborates with Data Scientists and Data Analysts to maintain the accuracy and relevance of data artifacts. The Data Developer will troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines using tools such as SQL, dbt, and PySpark, aligning with our mission to leverage data for impactful business insights. This position offers professional growth and development in a collaborative environment.
Your Impact
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and Data Analysts to accurately interpret business requirements and source data, ensuring the development of data artifacts that align with evolving business needs
- Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to develop and maintain DBT data models, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of solutions in the data modeling domain
- Adhere to team processes, seek guidance when needed, and offer feedback to enhance best practices and improve monitoring capabilities
- Build a functional understanding of modern cloud infrastructure components by working directly with senior team members to support and maintain our data platform
- Work with senior team members to diagnose and resolve data pipeline errors, ensuring the consistent availability of accurate daily insights for business departments to support informed decision-making
About You
- 1-4 years of relevant work experience, proficient in SQL, dbt and Python
- Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure components (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly growing environment
- Strong communicator and collaborator, effectively able to work with cross-functional teams
- Eager to take on new challenges and passionate about continuous learning

- Experience in gaming or the educational software space
- A strong passion for education
