We are looking for an Accounting Analyst to join our Finance team. Working closely with our Accounting team, you will take a hands-on approach to strengthening our expense accounting, accounts payable, and payroll-related processes. This position is ideal for someone with experience in accounts payable and a strong understanding of payroll and benefits administration.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Accounts Payable Oversight: Review transactional AP Processing, ensuring invoices, credit card transactions and expense reports are recorded accurately and on time. Provide coaching and feedback to team members to promote quality and consistency.
  • Month-End Close: Assist with the month-end close process, including preparing and posting expense-related entries (prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, fixed assets, etc.).
  • Cash Management: Prepare weekly payment batches and review cash forecast files to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Payroll & Benefits Support: Support our Payroll Specialist with in-house and EOR payroll for European employees. Coordinate benefits implementation and management for European employees. Act as a liaison between payroll providers and employees for payroll- and benefits-related questions.
  • Employee Experience & Documentation: Guide employees through payroll and benefits processes and platforms. Develop and maintain Guru cards and supporting documentation to clarify payroll and benefits workflows.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree or DEC in Accounting or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting role, with exposure to accounts payable.
  • Experience with payroll and benefits administration is an asset.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (FinancialForce / Certinia) is an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Full professional fluency in English (you can clearly communicate with internal and external stakeholders). Proficiency in French is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
