ABOUT THE ROLE:
Points is looking for a Manager of Strategic Partnerships to join our Global team for a permanent position.
The Manager of Strategic Partnerships will play a lead role in the day-to-day operational management and growth of our Strategic Partnerships within the following two categories.
Merchants (i.e. Lyft, FTD) who are contracted to be a buyer and/or redemption channel of loyalty currency through Points’ Loyalty Commerce Platform (LCP) with no loyalty currency of their own.
Third party Solution Providers (i.e. Collinson, CDI, Rocket Travel) who are contracted to provide an earn and/or burn service for our loyalty Partners through the LCP
The Manager of Strategic Partnerships will play a key role helping develop and expand partnerships and secure long term relationships. You will actively support program launches, initiate marketing campaigns and demonstrate accountability by ensuring team and partner deliverables stay on track. You will enjoy an expanding role that will assist the Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships with responding to Partner needs and inquiries.
You will possess an entrepreneurial mindset to quickly identify and implement sales strategies, pipeline efficiencies, and collateral that will grow & scale the SP business. With exceptional organizational skills, you will help our team achieve goals tied to our corporate growth drivers and defined by our Big Rocks. You are also responsive, willing to play multiple roles and have experience in the loyalty, technology, e-commerce and/or travel industry.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships, you will be responsible for the following:
Leading day-today operational management of assigned partners within Points
Supporting and assisting the Strategic Partnerships team in every step of the sales cycle including: handling partner inquiries, working collaboratively with product, project management, partner planning and partner marketing teams, and preparing sales materials to facilitate Strategic Partnership initiatives
Responsible for end-to-end onboarding process support of new strategic partners and ongoing relationship management
Manage project communications/updates and facilitate conversations between key audiences (internal/external).
Working with Points’ new and existing strategic partners to help streamline the throughput of opportunity pipelines and provide updates on progress with various leads throughout the sales cycle
Creating thorough reports and tracking of pipeline progress through tools such as Salesforce
Lead action item gathering and inputs for bi-weekly and monthly status review calls with partners to review key milestones, active projects, new business opportunities and outstanding issues
YOU ARE SOMEONE WITH:
Proven experience in both strategic & account management roles (ideally in the Loyalty space)
Impactful client management experience that includes needs-based selling, commercial negotiations & campaign/offer management expertise
Demonstrated technical API Integration implementation experience
Goal oriented, assertive and persistent, focused on helping the team close deals
Passion for the details and ensuring no detail is missed
Interest and willingness to learn
Proven ability to manage multiple high priority tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience with Salesforce.com is an asset
Strong problem solving skills, able to manage multiple projects while demonstrating grace under pressure
Strong group collaboration and organizational skills and ability to be self-reliant and driven to achieve goals
Exceptional computer skills including Google Suite (particularly Google Slides, Sheets & Docs to create client facing documents and presentations)
