ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for overseeing partner marketing, product marketing, and growth/performance marketing at Plusgrade. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in driving direct to consumer e-commerce growth and optimizing storefront conversion. They will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth and customer engagement. This is a global role that spans across two business units, Points and Plusgrade, and around the globe, focussed in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, & Asia.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
• Lead a high-performing marketing team, providing mentorship, coaching and career development
• In conjunction with the Marketing team, develop and execute a global marketing strategy that drives growth and performance across all business units. For Points, this means creating & refining campaign growth opportunities in the loyalty currency retailing space. For Plusgrade, this means continuing to build out and support the marketing function to drive ancillary revenue.
• Support the Directors, Partner Marketing in planning and executing campaigns and launches across the global partner base - this is a high growth mandate.
• Support the Director, Product Marketing in defining and implementing a product marketing strategy that positions Plusgrade as a leader in the ancillary revenue space and optimizes storefront conversion and drives end-user adoption of all of our suite of products.
• Support the Director, Performance Marketing in developing and executing a growth and performance marketing strategy that grows our reach through channel expansion.
• Measure and report on marketing program effectiveness to senior management and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of marketing plans
• Keep up to date with industry trends, insights, and best practices to ensure that Plusgrade stays ahead of the competition
KEY PARTNERS:
• Work closely with the Data Science & Analytics team to understand customer behavior, identify trends and insights, and use data to inform marketing decisions.
• Collaborate with the Global Brand team to ensure brand consistency and alignment across all marketing initiatives.
• Work closely with the Product team to develop and execute product marketing strategies that drive revenue growth and customer engagement.
• Collaborate with the Engineering team to ensure that marketing initiatives are technically feasible and implemented correctly.
• Partner with the Partner Strategy team to develop and implement partner marketing initiatives that drive revenue growth and customer acquisition.
• Work with the Business Development team to support pitches & represent the value of our collective intelligence.
YOU ARE SOMEONE WITH:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional partners.
• Thrives in a metrics-driven organization and has a strong analytical mindset
• Experience working across diverse cultures & geographies
• 10+ years of experience in direct to consumer e-commerce marketing
• Facility with data and experience working with Data Science & Analytics teams
• Champions a test and learn culture and is bold with experimentation while managing risk
• Experience with A/B testing and other testing methodologies to optimize marketing campaigns and initiatives.
• Strong ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally with multiple teams, including Product, Engineering, Partner Strategy, and Business Development teams.
• Strong background in optimization and increasing storefront conversion
• Experience in partner marketing and growth/performance marketing
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing marketing teams
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
