About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Account Executive with a proven track record in SaaS sales to join our fast-paced Velocity Team. This role will focus on driving growth and expanding our market presence within the SMB and mid-market segments. While experience in Fintech is not mandatory, a history of success in SMB sales is essential. You'll play a pivotal role in our mission to transform financial management for SMBs by supporting sales initiatives targeted at these segments.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and Execute Sales Plans: Assist in the creation and implementation of strategic sales plans to drive subscription sales, exceed targets, and nurture client relationships. Mainly inbound, with a balanced approach to some outbound and follow-up efforts.
  • Manage Inbound Sales: Handle a high volume of sales inquiries and opportunities generated through marketing efforts. Focus on efficiently converting warm leads into subscribers by providing prompt and personalized responses to potential clients. This role will be focused on leads generated through marketing and nurturing these leads with a portion of outbound and hunting.
  • Utilize a Consultative Approach: Understand client needs and effectively communicate the product value to successfully convert leads into subscribers.
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Drive consistent sales success by meeting and exceeding sales targets, leveraging a deep understanding of the product and market to identify and convert high-potential leads.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients by offering insights and guidance on how our SaaS solution can address their specific business challenges and drive growth.
  • Optimize Lead Conversion: Leverage sales funnel data to find ways to become more efficient in lead conversion.
  • Outreach Methods: Utilize various outreach methods including cold calling, emails, and social media to engage with prospects.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Collaborate with team members and other departments to optimize sales efforts and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market potential, track sales performance, and provide regular status reports to management.
  • Customer Insights: Provide management with insights on customer needs, competitive activities, and potential new products/services to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement: Pursue continuous improvement through feedback and professional development opportunities.

Your Background:

  • Sales Experience: 2+ years of professional sales experience, ideally with 1+ year in a SaaS-focused role.
  • Warm Leads Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing and converting high volumes of warm leads generated through marketing campaigns. Ability to maintain high productivity and efficiency in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Proven success in supporting sales for SMBs, demonstrating proficiency in selling subscription-based products.
  • Experience in Fintech or Payments is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistent sales success, having achieved recognition such as being part of the President's Club or similar top achiever awards.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian and US markets, and experience managing clients in these regions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive both independently and within a team environment.
  • Solid business acumen and problem-solving abilities.

Bonus Points:

  • Financial Tools Experience: Familiarity with accounts payables, accounts receivables, bookkeeping, cash flow management solutions, and financial automation tools.
  • Client Experience: Experience working with clients in both Canada and the USA.
