Process Overview:
The Trading and Analytics EMS Product Development team is responsible for delivering a streamlined, high-performance user experience across the entire trade execution lifecycle. We are seeking a Product Specialist with a strong background in Equities and Equity Derivatives to help define, enhance, and support our next-generation Execution Management System (EMS). This role offers a unique opportunity to shape a best-in-class EMS platform tailored to the evolving needs of institutional trading desks.
Responsibilities:
- Define and document detailed business requirements and functional specifications for EMS workflows.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders—including Sales, Account Management, Support, and Development to continuously improve EMS capabilities.
- Gather feedback from internal users, clients, and prospects to develop and prioritize relevant business use cases.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of test plans for pre-release software.
- Serve as a frontline resource for product support, addressing bugs, inquiries, and training internal teams.
- Communicate development roadmaps, feature timelines, and project status to stakeholders.
- Maintain ownership of assigned release items and feature sets across the product lifecycle.
- Manage and maintain internal product documentation and knowledge resources.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, computer science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in product management or a related role within financial technology.
- Solid understanding of front-office trading workflows and the equities/equity derivatives market structure.
- Familiarity with FIX protocol and EMS/OMS order lifecycle.
- Strong analytical mindset with a solution-oriented approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications / Nice to Have:
- Prior experience working on EMS and/or OMS platforms.
- Asset class knowledge beyond Equities, including experience with Futures, Options, and FX.
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), code repositories, and deployment tools.
- Exposure to machine learning, data analytics platforms, or algorithmic trading concepts.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- Ability to grep and analyze system logs, raw data, and FIX logs to diagnose issues, trace order flow, and support incident resolution in a fast-paced trading environment.
