JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, manage, and oversee the performance and output of the assigned team, ensuring efficient workflow, high productivity, and consistent results. Responsibilities include team development, performance management, and recruitment.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Internal Systems, and Product Development to ensure alignment and support for team initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in a hands-on managerial role.
  • Partner with the Site Operations Manager, Product Managers, and Buy Side Services stakeholders to coordinate and manage all analytics activities handled by direct reports.
  • Establish clear goals and objectives, providing strategic direction and guidance to team leaders.
  • Manage and allocate incoming tasks, ensuring equitable distribution across the team.
  • Monitor and optimize team workload and responsibilities to enhance productivity and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Possess a strong understanding of equity and fixed income concepts and analytics, both theoretically and in practice.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the tools, systems, and processes used to conduct and manage efficient operations teams
  • Define and implement performance metrics to evaluate individual analyst contributions and overall team success.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, recognizing and rewarding high performers.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and deliver timely, constructive feedback.
  • Develop and implement Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) when necessary.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve team processes and output quality.
  • Support hiring efforts by building a strong candidate pipeline and developing training programs for high-potential hires.

PREREQUISITES

  • Solid foundation in Finance, supported by a university degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Financial Management, Mathematical Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • A postgraduate degree and/or relevant professional certifications are highly preferred.
  • Current or most recent role should be at the Manager or Associate/Assistant Manager level with experience as a “manager of managers”.
  • Minimum of 9 years of overall professional experience, including at least 12 to 24 months in a manager role.
  • Proven experience in managing teams of 30 to 50 analysts.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of logic and basic coding concepts is a plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in people and performance management.
  • Highly proactive in driving improvement initiatives; strong change management capabilities.
  • Strong business acumen, well-organized, analytical, and strategic in problem-solving.
  • Willingness and ability to work in a hybrid setup, with the first six months onsite to accelerate learning and integration.
  • Flexible working in shifts aligned with business requirements.
