Department Description:
Sales Engineering – Solutions Architecture is responsible for providing a range of pre-sales support services to FactSet’s sales teams to facilitate opportunity development, technical discussion, and onboarding processes across FactSet and acquired PLC products making use of the Enterprise Hosting platform. We are seeking an independent, technically-minded candidate who can perform configuration procedures and onboard new clients as part of our pre-sales responsibilities.
With advanced in-house engineering focused on Cognitive, Analytics, Content Collection + Generation, and Digital capabilities - FactSet is a technology leader in real-time and compute-intensive market data across the front, middle and back offices. Operating meshed regional datacenters servicing millions of users in over 20 countries requires scalable, robust architecture, which Sales Engineering positions as a critical partner for the world's largest financial institutions. FactSet Developer Advocates help our clients solve their most significant challenges using technology.
Responsibilities:
- Curate sales opportunities across all FactSet’s PLC applications
- Become an SME on the FactSet’s Enterprise Hosting platform
- Collect client specifications within agreed solution capabilities
- Work with Enterprise Hosting engineering and application product teams to ensure the hosting offering is kept up to date
- Generate custom client quotations and SLAs
- Create new and retrospective client architecture diagrams
- Create and follow business process documentation to close opportunities and onboard clients
- Maintain internal and client facing documentation for FactSet’s core and hosting products
- Engage in ad-hoc project work
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Comfortable working independently
- Able to read and interpret technical documentation
- Business-level written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly Desired:
- An interest in AWS cloud
- Willingness to become AWS certified
