FactSet is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our dynamic Accounting team in Sofia. This role focuses on recording and managing the financial aspects of FactSet subsidiaries operating in Bulgaria, Latvia, and the Netherlands and offers an exciting opportunity for professionals looking to make an impact in a global company environment.

Your Team's Impact

As part of our European Finance Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient running of financial processes and will act as a key liaison between FactSet and its financial service providers. Through direct interaction with our sophisticated financial operations, you will help maintain accurate records and provide critical financial data that informs strategic business decisions.

What You'll Do

- Prepare and record journal entries to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial accounts.

- Review and approve travel and entertainment expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.

- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and initiate bank transfers for local vendor accounts.

- Actively communicate with local 3rd party accounting and payroll providers to ensure smooth and compliant financial operations.

- Support the European Finance Team in executing varied financial tasks, ensuring seamless integration and performance across regions.

What We're Looking For

- Strong understanding of accounting rules and regulations within Europe.

- A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in a similar financial role; ACA or ACCA qualifications are not required but beneficial.

- University degree in Finance, Accounting or similar academic field

- Ability to prioritize and organize a diverse workload efficiently, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to take initiative and act as a problem owner, seeking out solutions proactively.

- Experience working in a multi-national company is advantageous, but not essential.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, paired with the ability to build relationships across all levels.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in explaining complex financial concepts clearly.

Desired Skills

- Background in finance or experience in the Asset Management Financial industry.

- Technical proficiency with financial software applications and Microsoft Excel, including financial formulas.

- Familiarity with financial reporting systems and business intelligence tools.
