Your Impact
As the Senior UX Designer, you have a talent for transforming business requirements into engaging and meaningful user interfaces and experiences. You have a collaborative spirit and enjoy working with UX team members to ensure a cohesive and distinctive brand identity that energizes the organization and our customers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Understand organizational goals, product specifications, and user needs and psychology;
  • Create wireframes, functional specs, high-fidelity mock-ups and prototypes of various complexity;
  • Conduct user and market research as well as usability testing;
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the product development process;
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate design into agile development cycles, ensuring a seamless and iterative design approach.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor's Degree in Digital/Interaction Design, or related field;
  • 5-10 years’ experience in user experience, interaction design or similar;
  • Experience designing for business software (capital markets software a plus), web and mobile technology;
  • Experience building and maintaining a design system;
  • Ability to lead projects and collaborate across multi-functional teams;
  • Excel at communicating and setting expectations. Ability to regularly communicate with multiple stakeholders, including clients and prospects, to present initial concept through to final product design;
  • Strong awareness of technology trends and potential influence on the current and future business;
  • Ability to balance creative thinking with pragmatic decision-making;
  • Experience managing and coaching junior UX team members.

How We Hire
Hiring Process Overview:
Here's a brief breakdown of our recruitment process:
  • Screening & Resume Review: Evaluate all resumes and responses.
  • Initial Interview (20 min): Meet with our People Operations team to discuss your motivators and align on role specifics.
  • Second Interview (30-45 min): Interview with our Directors of Product Management as well as our CEO.
  • Final Presentation: Prepare and present to a panel to showcase your expertise and alignment with Irwin.
