Phoenix is looking for a People & Culture Manager who will play a pivotal role in creating and nurturing a positive, supportive, and inclusive work environment for all employees. This position is responsible for driving HR initiatives, improving employee engagement, and supporting the development and execution of strategies that align with the company’s values and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Culture & Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives that promote a positive company culture, enhance employee engagement, and build strong internal relationships.

  • Talent Management: Assist in managing career development programs and performance management processes.

  • Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employees, offering guidance on HR policies, procedures, and conflict resolution.

  • Learning & Development: Partner with leadership to identify learning opportunities and facilitate training programs that support employees’ professional growth.

  • Policy & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal labor laws, regulations, and internal policies. Update HR policies as needed to meet legal and organizational requirements.

  • Employee Wellness & Benefits: Support the design and implementation of wellness programs and employee benefits packages, promoting work-life balance and overall employee well-being.

  • Data & Reporting: Maintain employee data and analytics to provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on trends related to workforce development, retention, and engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration.

  • 5+ years of experience in HR or People Operations role
    3+ years of experience in a high growth start-up scale up.

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employee relations, labor laws, and talent development.

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Proven ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.

  • Proficiency in HR software (Humi)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • You’ve done it before, at scale. You have some hard-won lessons from the industry, and bring a deep understanding of performance marketing

  • You’re passionate about improving the Canadian healthcare experience and have a personal connection to the space
