As the Vice President of Financial Operations at Flywheel Digital, you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our financial processes for all of our customers. You will be responsible for all the client financial operations which include client budget management, client financial support, invoicing, credit review, collections, financial systems and standard operating procedures. You will be the key leader to ensure the smooth operation of our key business processes.
This role will require strategic thinking, strong leadership skills and desire to make a large contribution to the overall success and growth of our company
Preference for Greater New York City Area or Baltimore Area.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and manage the financial operations team, providing clear direction, guidance, and mentorship to ensure optimal performance and professional growth.
  • Oversee client billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing in accordance with client agreements and contracts.
  • Supervise client financial support to address inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain strong client and client services team relationships.
  • Develop and implement effective credit review and collections strategies to minimize outstanding balances and ensure timely payments from clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve and streamline financial systems, processes, and workflows.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive standard operating procedures (SOPs) for financial operations, ensuring consistency and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators, providing regular reports and analysis to senior management.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to media financial processes, incorporating relevant insights into the company's operations.
  • Contribute to the development of financial strategies and initiatives to support the company's growth objectives.
  • Integrate offshore and onshore capabilities into a cohesive team and process.
  • Identify areas for automation and further offshore/near shore sourcing to help manage cost effectively manage future business growth

Who You Are:

  • Proven track record of strong leadership skills, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Prior experience working with media financial processes is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools. Experience with SAP and/or MediaOcean is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • High level of curiosity and integrity

The Interview Process:
Every role starts the same, an introductory call with someone from Perpetua. We will be looking for company and values-fit as well as your professional experience; there may be some technical role-specific questions during this call.
Every role is different after the initial call, but you can expect to meet several people from the team 1:1 and there might be further skill assessments in the form of a Take Home Assignment/Case Study Presentation or Pair Programming/Live Coding exercise depending on the role. In your initial call, we will walk you through exactly what to expect the process to be.
